SEE WHERE YOUR VISITORS COME FROM

The attribution gap

Analytics can't see the full picture

When visitors decline consent or arrive through offline channels — podcasts, word of mouth, events — tracking pixels lose the signal entirely. You see traffic, but not where it came from.

Get first-party data directly from visitors

Ask one question and see which channels are actually driving your traffic — captured directly from the people visiting your site.

Set up in minutes

Audience Survey runs on the Cookiebot™ tag. Three steps and you're collecting responses.

Go to Add-ons in your Cookiebot™ account and activate Audience Survey for the domain you want to track.

Select which page the survey appears on. Visitors see a single question — no consent required to display it.

Responses aggregate in a live channel breakdown inside your Cookiebot™ admin. Data appears within 24 hours.

Built into Cookiebot™

Audience Survey is a Cookiebot™ add-on, not a separate tool. When you have Cookiebot™ installed on your site, it runs entirely on the existing script tag.

If you have Cookiebot™ installed, go to Add-ons in your Cookiebot™ admin, select Audience Survey, choose your target page, and you're done. Your existing cookie banner and privacy settings are not affected.

No Cookiebot™ yet? Start with a free trial and add Audience Survey once you're set up.

Frequently asked questions

No. Each response stores only the selected answer, the page path, device type, and timestamp. No visitor identifiers, IP addresses, or cookies are recorded.

Audience Survey requires an active Cookiebot™ account. Start with Cookiebot™ and add Audience Survey once your account is set up.

No, currently only one Audience Survey configuration can be set up per domain. This limit applies regardless of whether a survey is active or paused. To activate another survey, the old one needs to be deleted completely.

Deleting a survey removes the configuration and all associated data permanently. If you want to stop a survey temporarily without losing data, use the pause function instead.

Configurations are attached to individual domains, not domain groups. If you have multiple domains, you'll need to configure Audience Survey separately for each.

After activating or making changes to your survey configuration, it can take up to 20 minutes for the survey to become visible to website visitors. This delay is due to caching. The same applies when pausing or deactivating a survey, the change won't take effect immediately.
