# Cookiebot Consent Analytics Now Shows Where and How Visitors Choose

## At a Glance

- Consent Analytics now includes a Consent by Region view that ranks your top 10 countries.
- A breakdown of consent choices shows marketing, statistics, preferences, accept all, and deny all results instead of one combined total.
- You can compare opt-in rates across multiple domains or domain groups.

Cookiebot by Usercentrics has expanded Consent Analytics beyond aggregate opt-in and opt-out counts. You can now see consent by country and by the choices visitors make (marketing, statistics, accept all, and deny all), and compare opt-in rates across your own domains and domain groups. It is built for customers who manage their own setup and for agencies running multiple sites.
Until now, Consent Analytics in Cookiebot by Usercentrics has answered one question well: ***how many visitors opted in, and how many opted out.***

That is a useful starting point, but a single total can hide a lot. A healthy overall rate may be masking low opt-in for a category your marketing team relies on, or a weak result on one of your domains.

That matters because consent is rarely uniform. Visitors may treat each category differently. If you manage several sites, it is even harder to tell whether a low rate is a one-site problem or a wider pattern.

The updated Consent Analytics overview is built to help you ask the next question: where, and for what?

## **What the Updated Consent Analytics Overview Does**

The updated overview builds on the totals you already know, adding new ways to break down your consent data and a way to compare your own sites.

You'll find it in the Cookiebot Admin, under **Analytics → Consent Analytics**.

- **Consent by country**
    - A Consent by Region view shows where your consents come from, ranking your top 10 countries so you can see how visitors in different markets respond to your banner.
- **Breakdown of consent choices**
    - Break down results by category (marketing, statistics and preferences) alongside accept all and deny all choices. Instead of one combined total, you can see which choices visitors actually make.
- **Domain and domain group comparison**
    - The Compare Domains section lets you select several domains or domain groups and view their opt-in rates side by side over time.

As before, you can set the date range and choose the domain you want to look at.

## **How to Read the New Views**

The new views work best when you move from the widest picture to the narrowest. Here is a simple order to follow the first time you open the updated overview.

### **Start With the Totals and the Trend**

At the top of Consent Analytics, you'll see total consents, opt-ins, and opt-outs for the date range and domain you have selected. The Overview chart shows how opt-ins and opt-outs move over time, which helps you tell whether a change is recent or has been building for a while.

### **Check Consent by Country**

The Consent by Country chart ranks your top 10 countries by the number of consent decisions collected, and hovering over a bar shows the exact figure. It tells you where your consent activity comes from, so you can see which markets matter most to your site and business.

### **Break Down Consent Choices**

Opt-in is rarely all or nothing. A visitor can accept statistics and decline marketing and preferences, accept everything, or deny everything, and a single opt-in total cannot show the difference. Use this breakdown to see how choices split across marketing, statistics, accept all, and deny all. If a gap between countries or domains appears, this view shows whether it comes from one category or from visitors choosing accept all or deny all. A weak overall result often turns out to be a weak result in one category.

### **Compare Your Domains**

Open Compare Domains to choose the domains or domain groups you want to see together. The chart plots opt-in rate as a percentage, so you can see whether one site consistently sits below the others or whether a gap opened at a particular point in time.

## **Who It's For**

The update is aimed at two groups of Cookiebot customers. Each gets a clearer picture without leaving the Cookiebot Admin.

- **Self-service Cookiebot customers** can see how their own banner performs by market and by category, instead of relying on one overall rate. If you run one site or a handful, the new views give you a quick read on where consent is strongest and weakest.
- **Agencies managing multiple sites** can compare consent performance across the domains and domain groups they look after, and spot which sites need a closer look.

## **What It Isn't**

This is a view of your own consent data. The comparison covers your own domains and domain groups only. It does not measure your rates against external sources or other companies. If you want to know whether your consent rate is above or below your industry average, that is what the [Consent Rate Benchmarking Add-On](https://admin.cookiebot.com/add-ons/consent-rate-benchmark/) in the Add-Ons Hub is for.

The updated overview also doesn't assess whether your configuration meets legal requirements. Treat the data as a guide to where to look more closely. For a definitive read on your obligations, talk to qualified legal counsel or a data privacy professional.

## **What Can You Learn From Your Own Consent Data?**

Start with the country or domain where you suspect consent is weakest, then check which category sits behind the difference. Consent rates vary for many reasons, so treat what you find as a prompt to investigate, not a verdict.
